Lil Wayne has announced his album Tha Carter V will be released on Oct. 28. He also revealed the cover art which shows him as a baby with his mother.
The rapper made the announcement and unveiled the cover art on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Thursday. He also said he never told his mother he would be using that photo for the cover and apologized to her.
"I didn't tell her about the picture I was using for the album," he said, adding, "I know personally she doesn't really like that picture of herself."
He also called it “perfect,” explaining, “I always go with a baby picture and I wanted to go with one with my momma.”
In March, Wayne talked to MTV News about the album, insisting this would be his final solo album.
He said the only way to get him to do another solo album would be to pay him "25 to 35 million.”
Lil Wayne is currently on the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour with his Young Money labelmate, Drake.
