Lorde also tweeted, "building this thing piece by piece has been amazing. i can't wait to share the other artists' contributions with you."
The Mocking Jay film director, Francis Lawrence, ensured the fans that the Grammy-winning singer was the right choice.
“I sat down with Lorde on the set of ‘Mockingjay’ this spring and I was immediately struck by how she so innately understood what we, as both fans and filmmakers, were trying to accomplish with the film,” Lawrence said, boston.com reports. “I can’t wait to share what she’s done with the fans. It is truly remarkable."
Lorde will also be kicking off her third North American tour on Sept. 5 in Philadelphia, before traveling to 19 more cities.
The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay - Part 1 is set for release on Nov. 21.
