Police are investigating an attempted murder-suicide that happened inside a New Jersey hospital on Wednesday morning.

According to WPVI, authorities said that Raymond Wychowanec, 63, walked into Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford around 10 a.m. and fatally shot his wife, Denise Wychowanec, 62. He then turned the gun on himself, but survived and was airlifted to another hospital known for its trauma unit.

At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, officials announced more alarming news and said that they had found a body at the couple’s home. However, they would not confirm if they knew of a connection between that death and the shooting.

Philly.com noted that Wednesday’s incident comes after a series of shootings at hospitals in the region.

Last week, an elderly man shot himself while in a restroom at a hospital in Camden. And just last month, a psychiatric patient fatally shot a case worker in Pennsylvania and wounded a doctor before the physician shot back at him. Finally, in March, a 26-year-old man shot himself in the head after walking into the emergency room of a hospital in Woodbury, New Jersey.
