The New York Film Festival has announced its full film slate.

The films are chosen by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and include a multitude of world premieres showcasing the biggest names in acting and directing.

In addition to the previously announced marquee attractions – David Fincher’s Gone Girl, Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice and Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu’s Birdman - the festival will play 27 other films over the 17-day festival, many of which are early Oscar contenders.

This year’s festival is under the direction of Kent Jones, chair of its film selection committee. Other members of the committee include FSLC director of programming Dennis Lim, FSLC senior programming advisor Marian Masone, Film Comment editor-in-chief Gavin Smith and Film Comment and Sight & Sound contributing editor Amy Taubin.

The 52nd New York Film Festival will take place September 26 to October 12.
