While celebrities left and right are accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Pamela Anderson won’t ever be counted among them.
The former Baywatch star and animal activist is taking a stand against the organization for using animals for experimentation.
In a detailed Facebook post, Anderson gave an explanation as to why she can’t participate based on her own morals and standards.
“I thought Instead / I'd challenge ALS to stop Animal testing,” she wrote. “Recent experiments funded by the ALS Association, mice had holes drilled into their skulls, were inflicted with crippling illnesses, and were forced to run on an inclined treadmill until they collapsed from exhaustion. Monkeys had chemicals injected into their brains and backs and were later killed and dissected.”
Instead, Anderson urged her fans to support charities that don’t use animals for testing.

With the help of celebrities like Zoe Saldana, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hayden Panettiere and many more, ALSA has raised more than $40 million in donations since July 29.
