Rap veteran Sir Mix-a-lot has decided to weigh in on Nicki Minaj's video for her single "Anaconda."

The video for the song, which samples Sir Mix-a-Lot's 1992 club jam "Baby Got Back," was released late Tuesday night and it has definitely gotten people talking. Thursday, Sir Mix-a-Lot took to Twitter to react to the video. His reaction was very strong, albeit positive.

Nicki herself caught wind of Sir Mix-a-Lot's response and posted a screenshot of the tweet on Instagram.

The caption under the post read,"LMFAOOOOO. Life is so crazy. Thank u Sir MixALot. Still influencing us decades later. YouDaMan... #BabyGotBack."

In the day since its release the video has garnered over 23 million views. The racy video features a scantily clad Nicki in a jungle and dancing in chairs against a white background. The video also features Drake and a sexy lapdance scene between he and Nicki. The song "Anaconda" will be part of Nicki's upcoming album The Pinkprint. Minaj will also be performing the song when she opens the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday Aug. 24.
