Will Hayden, the star of the Discovery Channel’s Sons of Guns, was arrested a second time this month after police decided to charge him with child rape, in addition to the child molestation charges he was arrested for earlier.
Just two weeks ago, Hayden was arrested in Louisiana for allegedly molesting his 12-year-old daughter. His ex-girlfriend reportedly told police over a week before his first arrest that it was retaliation for breaking up with him.
At the time, Hayden was released on bail. But TMZ is now reporting that he was arrested again, since police have added a charge of child rape. According to documents obtained by the site, Hayden’s daughter supported the ex-girlfriend’s claims, telling police he took her virginity in March 2013.
She claims she was raped orally and vaginally multiple times, but never reported it because Hayden threatened to hurt her if she did. “Don't tell them nothing, because I'm all you got,” she says she was told.
When Hayden was first arrested, he claimed he was innocent. His older daughter Stephanie, who is featured on Sons of Guns, also wrote a now-deleted Facebook post defending her father.
Discovery hasn’t commented on the situation. Fox News did report that Hayden’s Red Jacket Firearms, which is the store featured in the show, has distanced itself from Hayden.
“Red Jacket Firearms LLC has initiated and received full legal separation as an entity, from William M. Hayden,” the company said. “With heavy hearts, we will be continuing to operate and ensure the fulfillment of new customer orders, back orders and to provide support to those affected by these new developments.”
