This week in Music: Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett declares “Anything Goes,” Maroon 5 blasts onto ITunes with a new song, Hilary Duff is ‘Chasing’ the charts with her new single, Wiz Khalifa will keep you up 'All Night' with his new party anthem and Jessie J unleashes a ‘Bang’ with the help of a rap superstar and Pop’s ‘it girl.’

"Bang Bang"- Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj

Jessie J releases her brand new song “Bang Bang” with Pop darlin’ Ariana Grande and Hip-Hop heavyweight Nicki Minaj. The song is pure fire. It’s Lady Marmalade ’14. Jessie J and Ariana Grande have two of the best voices in music today and it shows all over this song. Ariana Grande feature is brief but impactful. Nicki’s verse is well, Nicki; It’s catchy, clever, metaphorically-induced. There are strong voices and even stronger attitudes all over this nearly perfect pop song.

"Chasing The Sun"- Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff has had a pretty impressive career. She has had top 10 singles, #1 albums, hit TV shows and hit movies. However, Duff took some time off to start a family, get married, have a baby and get divorce. Now, Duff is back into the limelight with her new single “Chasing The Sun.” The song lacks in the creative department but gets an A in the summer hit department. It’s the most poppiest song since “Call Me Maybe.” She coincided the song with a music video which is almost as cute-and-corky as the song.

"Anything Goes"- Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett released the first single off of their collaborative album, Cheek to Cheek, “Anything Goes.” The song is a lesser version of their previous collaboration, “This Lady is a Tramp,” but still the song is a nice, catchy Jazz tune. It’s a sound that many Gaga fans probably won’t understand, but a sound that all of Bennett’s fan will. What Gaga and Bennett need to do is bridge an even gap between her fans and his fans so that this collaboration between the two can reach its full potential.

"It Was Always You"- Maroon 5

After releasing their first single , “Maps”, off of their upcoming album, V, Maroon 5 has released a new song called “It Was Always You.” The song is available for free when you pre order the album on Itunes. The song sort of resembles “Maps” but the melody for ‘Always You’ is much strong than “Maps.” The song sort of brings you back to the early Maroon 5 days.

"Stayin Out All Night"- Wiz Khalifa

The song sounds like a future fit for Wiz. The chorus has a strong radio-friendly presence to it. The song sounds like one of Kid Cudi songs with its strong synths and thumping drum line. The song is a party theme for sure. It will be included on his new album, Blacc Hollywood out August 19th.
