Toddler breaches security at White House, delays Presidential address

A toddler breached security at the White House on Thursday night causing a bit of stir and delaying President Barack Obama’s address on Iraq.

According to CNN, the President’s speech was delayed and security was breached on the North Lawn after the little boy managed to maneuver his way through the bars of the White House fence.

Authorities quickly located the tot, resolved the matter and reunited him with his parents.

"We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on way with parents," said Edwin Donovan, spokesman for the United States Secret Service.

The Washington Post noted that this sort of problem with babies and their accessories breaching security is becoming a bit common at some of the nation’s most secured buildings.

On Friday morning, the visitor’s center of the U.S. Capitol was closed after a stroller was found unattended just outside the building. However, a U.S. Capital police spokesman said that the stroller did not contain any hazardous material and the building was reopened a short time later.
