Vanessa Williams owes the IRS $370, 000 back in taxes after a faulty tax return.

According to the NY Daily News, the trouble reportedly began after the actress’s 2011 tax return, which was faulty. Williams, who lives in Chappaqua, N.Y, had her IRS paperwork filed under the Manhattan address of her accounting firm.

The IRS now has issued a lien until the actress pays them back. Williams owes exactly $369, 249.89 to the IRS.

Williams is not the only celebrity who has been in trouble with the IRS for tax evasion.

Back in 2013, singer Lauryn Hill reported to prison to serve a three month sentence for tax evasion. Hill’s sentence also included three months of house arrest once her prison sentence is complete. She owned nearly $1 million in taxes, reported People Magazine.

Hill, who wasn’t satisfied about the sentence, went on her Tumblr to rant, saying that she “shuddered during the sentencing when I kept hearing the term ‘make the IRS whole.”

Actor Wesley Snipes was also freed from prison last year after serving nearly three years for failing to file tax returns in 2008. Snipes owed $7 million in taxes, reported Forbes.

If Williams doesn’t pay back the IRS, she could well end up in the same situation as Hill and Snipes.
