Wiz Khalifa’s new album Blacc Hollywood is his first Billboard No. 1 of his career. The album has topped the Billboard 200 chart.
Blacc Hollywood sold 90,000 copies in its first week when it was released on Aug. 19. His past two albums - Rolling Papers (2011) and O.N.I.F.C. (2012) – both peaked at No. 2 on the chart.
According to Billboard, Khalifa knocked Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack out of its No. 1 spot. The soundtrack took the No. 2 slot this week and was down 30 percent in sales.
Not only did Khalifa top the Billboard 200 chart, he also landed atop the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and the Rap Albums charts.
“Honestly we've been waiting for this day for a very long time. I cant thank you enough,” he tweeted.
