Lacey Chabert is set to star in a romantic comedy based on popular dating website Christian Mingle
The movie, which is titled Christian Mingle, starts off poking fun at the faith based website, Chabert plays a smart woman who just so happens to be unlucky in love E! News reports . A commercial pops up on Chabert’s characters’ television screen and it’s for Christian Mingle, and to no surprise, she meets a man and falls for him while pretending to be a believer, by the end she gets the guy and has renewed faith.
Chabert, herself, hasn’t been shy about her religious upbringing, even though in years, she has kept her religious beliefs under wraps. Christian Mingle isn’t the first movie that Chabert has starred in with a religious message. In 2007, Chabert starred in What If God were the Sun?, reports Bustle, in that flick, Chabert played a grieving nurse who connects with a patient with strong wit and faith.
Chabert has boasted a pretty unique resume since Mean Girls came out ten years ago. She has voiced cartoon characters, starred in horror films and indie flicks, but it seems like she may have found her niche marrying her faith and love of acting.
Christian Mingle is scheduled to hit theaters in October. Check out the trailer below.
