Orange Is The New Black author Piper Kerman is set to lecture at Indiana’s DePauw University in 2015.

Kerman’s memoir deals with her time spent in a women’s prison facility while doing time for a drug trafficking crime she committed with her girlfriend during their college years.

Orange Is The New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison became such a literary smash hit that it was turned into the critically acclaimed Netflix drama by the same name. Taylor Schilling currently stars as Piper Chapman, who is the fictional version of Kerman.

Now Kerman will bring the subject matter to at least one US college campus next year. According to IndyStar, the author will give a lecture at Indiana’s DePauw University on February 4, 2015. The lecture is titled “Lessons Learned Behind Bars” and will be held in one of the university’s auditoriums. The forum will be open to the public.

The Emmy-nominated television adaption of OITNB is currently filming its third season which will premiere sometime next summer on Netflix. As filming continues, actress Taryn Manning recently opened up about what it’s like to wear government issued prison garb to work.
