Bill Murray showed up to for a question and answer session after Toronto Film Festival's screening of Ghostbusters and spoke with fans about his day, which he joked involved mostly staying in his hotel room.
During the hourlong session, the actor claimed he largely stayed in his room during Bill Murray Day and was kept informed of the weather outside all day long, The Canadian Press reports.
"I stayed in my room for a long time today," Murray said. "People kept coming up and saying things like, 'It's real humid out there.' I think maybe seven different people go like, 'Well, it's real humid and it's going to get even more humid.'"
He then added, "That's what my day's been like. It's mostly been a weather report."
Murray said that he did see a movie shown off at the film festival, Welcome to Me, which stars Kristen Wiig, and noted was one of the "strangest movies I've seen."
The veteran actor also said that he went to Montecito, which is a restaurant of Ivan Reitman's and he joked that since he "built the damn restaurant" it should have been free or they should have made off with the silverware.
Many did show up to the Q & A session dressed up as their favorite Murray characters as previously urged by TIFF organizers, who declared Friday Bill Murray Day due to the screenings of several of his classic films along with his latest, St. Vincent.
Until he actually showed up to the event, no one was quite sure the actor would appear at the premiere due to his known habit of making impromptu decisions, and when he did, he got drenched by rain.
