The makers of the World of Warcraft franchise have decided to call at quits on one of their next games, Titan.

Blizzard announced that after seven years of development, they would no longer continue creating their new massively multi-player online game, also known as a MMO game.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime talked to Polygon about their decision to cancel the game that was never officially announced.

"We didn't find the fun. We didn't find the passion. We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that's the game we really wanted to be making. The answer is no," Morhaime said.

Morhaime continued in the interview, saying that Blizzard doesn't want to identity themselves as the makers of only one video game genre and that they simply want to make great games every time no matter what the genre is.

Releasing the new MMO Titan would have been a logical next step for Blizzard since their iconic franchise World of Warcraft is coming up on its 10-year anniversary.

Blizzard's MMO giant World of Warcraft generated more than $1 billion in revenue in 2013 and is by far the most popular MMO in the video game market, Forbes reported. The second most popular MMO of 2013, Lineage only made $253 million in revenue.

Blizzard will celebrate World of Warcraft's 10-year anniversary with the next expansion to their lucrative franchise, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, set to be released Nov. 13.
