A man accused of killing four people in Florida claims that he is not the person that committed the heinous slayings.
In a jailhouse interview with the Tampa Bay Times, suspect Adam Matos, said that he did not kill his ex-girlfriend, her boyfriend and the woman’s parents.
"Everybody's looking at me like I did it," the 28-year-old said. "I want the people to know that I didn't do it."
Matos was arrested on Friday after a standoff with police in which a SWAT team was forced to storm a hotel room to apprehend him.
The suspect's autistic four-year-old son was found in the room with him. Matos' murdered ex-girlfriend, Megan Brown, is the boy’s mother.
Brown, her parents Margaret and Greg Brown, and her new boyfriend, Nicholas Leonard, were all found dead on a hilltop in Pasco County last week.
Matos was taken into custody on suspicion of the killings and is currently being held on a separate aggravated assault charge.
The child is with family members.
