Glee star Lea Michele has expressed interest in joining Ryan Murphy's horror mini-series since the show first debuted. It's also no secret that Michele, 28, and Murphy, 48, love working together on Glee - could there officially be the first on-screen crossover between Glee and American Horror Story?
According to Christian Today, Michele is reportedly the newest addition to the American Horror Story: Freak Show cast, though nothing has yet been confirmed.
However, there's no doubt Michele wouldn't be thrilled to be a part of the ensemble cast, which includes Emmy winning actress Jessica Lange. Back in March, Michele said of Ryan Murphy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, "I would star in a Glee spinoff, unless he wants to put me on American Horror Story. I know what the theme is for next year, and I'm in. So if he'll have me... at least, maybe for one episode. Let's start the campaign."
Clearly, Murphy had already clued Michele in on the theme of the new season before the public knew - and we all know how private Murphy is when it comes to revealing details about his shows!
Though Michele's guest role has not been confirmed, another actor's has. American Horror Story: Freak Show recently added Magic Mike hunk Matt Bomer to the ensemble cast as a guest star. Murphy and Bomer recently worked together on Murphy's Emmy-nominated HBO mini-series, The Normal Heart.
Season 4 of American Horror Story stars returning actors Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, and Denis O'Hare. Freak Show, which takes place during a 1950s carnival, is set to premiere on Oct. 8 on FX.
