Infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper has finally been identified, according to author Russell Edwards.

MTV reported that author Russell Edwards has used modern day technology to solve the centuries old case of who is Jack the Ripper.

Jack the Ripper was the nickname of a serial killer in London in the late 1800s. According to Casebook, the infamous murderer killed at least 11 women who were prostitutes. The name “Jack the Ripper” came from a letter to the police that was considered to be from the killer.

In Edwards’ book, he claims that DNA evidence proves that Polish immigrant Aaron Kosminski was the killer, due to his blood being found on one of the victims’ shawl at the crime scene.
Kosminski had been one of six suspects considered by the police at the time of the murders but was never brought to justice. Kosminski ended up in several insane asylums in his lifetime, which could be considered retribution for his crimes.

Edwards is certain that his research and investigation have concluded that Kosminski is definitely the Ripper.

“We have definitively solved the mystery of who Jack the Ripper was,”said Edwards to The Mirror. “Only non-believers that want to perpetuate the myth will doubt. This is it now – we have unmasked him.”

Edwards’ book, Naming Jack the Ripper, can be purchased on Amazon.
