The bosses of comedy are back in an all new feature-length trailer and it's horribl(y hilarious).
Arrested Development star Jason Bateman, We’re the Millers star Jason Sudeikis and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day return in a new trailer for the upcoming film Horrible Bosses 2, a sequel to the original 2011 film. The trailer was released by Warner Bros. Pictures on Thursday.
The trailer, entitled Ransom Note, reveals the story of the movie, which takes place after the previous film. After thwarting their bosses and starting their own business, Nick (Bateman), Kurt (Sudeikis) and Dale (Day) discover that their investor fails their business. In order to get revenge, the three friends kidnap the investor’s son for a ransom $500 thousand, stumbling and not experienced enough for the task at hand as exemplified in the trailer.
Also returning to the film is Kevin Spacey as Nick's old boss who is currently in jail, Jennifer Aniston as Dale's maneatter old boss and Jamie Foxx as the trio's crime consultant. Joining the cast are Chris Pine, who plays the investor’s son and Christoph Waltz in an unreleased-title role.
Sex Drive’s Sean Anders directed the film, as well as writing the screenplay along with Sex Drive screenplay partner John Morris. The film is being released by New Line Cinema.
Horrible Bosses is about the adventure of Nick, Kurt and Dale conspiring to kill their bosses, each who treated the characters foully in their own way. It was directed by Identity Thief’s Seth Gordon with Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein writing the screenplay. Markowitz also wrote the story the movie is based on.
Horrible Bosses 2 is set to release Nov. 26.
