Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson will release a joint duets album this November, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant has revealed.
Simpson, who shares a manager with Bieber in Scooter Braun, told Australia’s Daily Telegraph he and Bieber have been hard at work on the album.
“It is a smack bang duets (album). Justin has been a good mate of mine for a while,” he explained. “It’s just us writing. He told me he felt like I’d figured myself out and have grown into what he knows I will be so he was like, ‘I see you as that guitarist, singer songwriter you’ve always wanted to be’. Iplay all the guitars on the album.”
Simpson, who has dated model Gigi Hadid, definitely has a different reputation than Bieber does. However, he said he’s never seen the side of him reported in the media.
“I can’t speak for him,” he said of his reputation and mounting legal issues.
“I don’t get involved in any kind of drama, we are definitely different people and come from different places and different worlds but as far as to me, he has always been extremely cool and generous.”
Simpson, who has just switched record labels, will have a new solo album out sometime next year.
