While known for her elaborate outfits and flashing stage shows, attendees of the Harper’s Bazaar New York Fashion Week party got a taste of the true Mother Monster’s claws.

Singer Lady Gaga, while performing at the event on Friday at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, explicitly yelled at party goers, who were chatting during her performance.

“Will you (expletive) shut up?” Gaga said to the crowd, according to the Associated Press. “We’re playing some jazz. Goddamn rich people.”

The singer, who was also honored at the event that praised women in fashion, sang songs from her upcoming collaboration album with singer Tony Bennett Cheek to Cheek, set to be released on Sept. 23.

The AP reports that the crowd was then silenced when Gaga sang “impressive high notes.” Gaga also dedicated the song "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye," a jazz song that has been sung by jazz legends such as Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald, to her family and boyfriend, Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney.

“So, if you all keep it down while I sing my boyfriend a song I'd appreciate it,” Gaga said to the attendees, which included fashion designer Donatella Versache, actress Brooke Shields, and model-actress Liberty Ross.

Along with Gaga, model Linda Evangelista and Shields were honored at the event.

"An icon, I believe, is somebody that has a strong message behind their beauty and I think all of the women that are here tonight have that," Gaga said on the red carpet for the event. "I'm not sure that I have it, but I am pretty happy to be on the list with all these super models."
