The host of one of the all time classic kids shows Double Dare is passionate about bringing the show back on the air.
According to The Huffington Post, former host Marc Summers says he would love to see a reboot of Double Dare happen, and that he's been asking Nickelodeon to bring it back.
Summers says that the executives at Nick probably think he's too old for the job, but according to Summers, he's just as energetic and ready as ever.
"So I'm putting a call out to the folks at Nick: return the phone calls, have a discussion," he said.
Marc Summers originally hosted Double Dare from 1986 until it was cancelled in 1993. It was later rebooted as Double Dare 2000 with a new host, Jason Harris.
The show was a game show for kids and would usually involve trivia, which contestants could dare the other team to answer, physical challenges, and an obstacle course.
According to Uproxx, Summers has been vocal about his disagreements with the Nickelodeon network in recent years. In one interview, he described the network these days as going "in the dumper," and noting that someone in upper management at Nick hates his guts.
