What’s Miley Cyrus been up to with all of those little ultra-colorful craft projects posted to her instagram? According to V Magazine, it’s Cyrus’ artwork, that’s to be displayed at Jeremy Scott’s runway show on September 10th, and will then be displayed at V Magazine’s offices starting September 11th.
The art collection is aptly titled, “Dirty Hippy,” and features a ton of items from Cyrus’ life, including gifts from fans, various found objects, and even drugs- one of her art pieces is a five-foot bong, piled high with various raver bracelets made and given to her by fans, leis, and small toys like plastic dinosaurs.
“ This seems so f---g lame to say but I feel like my art became kind of a metaphor—an example of my life. Because a bunch of s---y things kept happening [...] So then I started taking all of those s---t things and making them good, and being like, I’m using it. My brother and my friends all said that’s what they felt I was doing. So, that’s how I started making art. I had a bunch of f---g junk and s---t, and so instead of letting it be junk and s---t, I turned it into something that made me happy,” Cyrus says about her artwork to V Magazine.
Miley Cyrus is never short on doing something interesting in her life and this new venture into art that explores her mind and life as a pop star, is definitely something new and interesting for Cyrus to continue to embark on when her tour ends in October.
