Miley Cyrus can’t stop and won’t stop fighting for her right to express herself.

On August 22, we reported that the 21-year-old pop-star’s upcoming concert was banned in the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic’s national entertainment and radio commission said in a statement that the ban was due to Cyrus performing "acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law."

However, Cyrus has always been one to stand up for freedom of expression. E! reported that Cyrus is taking legal action to remove the ban. The tour’s promoter in the Dominican Republic has filed the challenge.

The concert was scheduled for September 13 in Santo Domingo, and would have been Cyrus’s first show in the Dominican Republic.
