Naomi Watts has joined Jake Gyllenhall for Jean Marc Vallée’s next project, Demolition.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Demolition follows a widowed investment banker whose grieving is interrupted when he meets a woman who shakes up his life. Little else is known about the film at this point, save that it was written by Brian Sipe. Sipe’s script was formerly on the Black List.

Deadline broke the news of Gyllenhaal’s casting in June. Gyllenhaal can next be seen in Nightcrawler, where he plays a crime journalist.

Director Vallée, who rose to prominence after last year’s Oscar-winning Dallas Buyers Club, has built up quite a busy schedule for himself. As Indiewire pointed out, he’s still touring the festival circuit with his latest film, Wild. Having already bowed in Venice and Telluride, the film will hit Toronto next. The film is touted to be a possible Best Actress vehicle for star Reese Witherspoon come awards season.

Photography for Demolition is set to begin on September 15.
