Prince William has spoken out for the first time since his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge’s second pregnancy was confirmed by Kensington Palace on Monday.

Briefly speaking with reporters outside of Oxford University, where he just opened a Chinese study center, he said the couple was "immensely thrilled” about the baby news.

The Duke of Cambridge said it was still the “early days” of her pregnancy and she is “feeling OK” after reports of severe morning sickness came out, which she suffered from when pregnant with Prince George.

He called it a "tricky few days" but was nonetheless it’s "great news.”

Both of the Duchess’ pregnancies were forced to be revealed ahead of the 12-week mark due to suffering from acute morning sickness.

The BBC reports since she has some royal engagements scheduled in the coming weeks, they will take it "case-by-case" in regards to how she’s feeling.

On Wednesday, she’s scheduled to appear at the Invictus Games’ opening ceremony in London with her husband, brother-in-law Prince Harry, as well as in-laws the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
