Strong winds are to blame for bringing down a tree that caused the death of Chicago Fire actress Molly Glynn on Saturday.

Glynn, 46, and her husband Joe Foust were biking in the woods around 3 pm Saturday afternoon when they were stuck in a fast, incoming storm, according to a facebook post by Foust.

Authorities said that the heavy winds from the storm caused a tree to uproot, which fell on the trail they were biking. “It was harsh and quick,” Foust told the Chicago Tribune. He said that Glynn was wearing a helmet.

The National Weather Service said that winds from the Friday afternoon storm in the area which Glynn had died gusted between 70 to 80 mph, and that the storm cleared by around 3:40 pm, weather service meteorologist Gino Izzo told the Chicago Tribune.

“It is an incalculable loss,” Michael Halberstam, artistic director of the Writers Theatre in Glencoe, told the Associated Press. “She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her.” She is survived by Foust and their two teenage sons.
