Last night was all about shaking it off while Taylor Swift sang “Shake It Off” for a lucky crowd at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
It was Swift’s first performance at the annual two-day event since 2012 and she showed how far she had come in two years. She only performed five songs, notes Billboard, but that was more than enough to get fans excited.
“Shake It Off” was the only number from her forthcoming album, 1989, that she sang. Other songs in the set included “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “22,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “Love Story.”
She had a 13-piece band backing her, while giant numbers 1-9-8-9 spun in the background, in case her fans forgot the title of the new album.
“If you have frenemies and if you have liars and dirty dirty cheats of the world… I think the best way to handle a situation like that is just to shake it off,” Swift said before launching into her latest hit.
Of course, this is a festival, so Swift wasn’t the only performer on the night. Coldplay dusted off “Clocks” and Nicki Minaj pulled out “Superbass.” Ariana Grande belted out “Problem.” Motley Crue was even there to sing “Girls Girls Girls.”
Lorde, Iggy Azalea and One Direction are featured on Saturday, notes the AP.
iHeartRadio is owned by Clear Channel Communications, which recently renamed itself iHeartMedia.
