Dominic Cooper will officially return as Howard Stark in the upcoming first season of ABC's Agent Carter.

Marvel made the casting announcement on their website on Tuesday. The news isn't too shocking given that Stark was already involved in the plot of the latest Marvel series and the Fleming star played the character in Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.

In the upcoming series, Peggy Carter, who was created for the film and is played by Hayley Atwell, finds her role diminished after World War II ends and men return home. She is suddenly tasked with boring administrative work at the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), while also going on covert missions assigned by Stark.
In the spinoff series, Atwell will star alongside Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj. Other faces include James D'Arcy and Shea Whigham.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it isn't known when Agent Carter will premiere yet, but it is likely it could air in the winter when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. goes on break.
