This Week in Music is a weekly column detailing new album releases. This week focuses on the albums released Oct. 26 through Nov. 1.

Taylor Swift 1989 (Oct. 27)

Going full on pop rock for this album, Swift has already found fame with the album's sixth track "Shake it Off," it to be the lead single from the album, which comes two years after 2012's Red. This is the fifth studio album from the multi-Grammy winning artist, who had help from producers and co-writers Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Shellback, Ryan Tedder and Noel Zancanell. The album was produced through Big Machine Records. The title of the album reflects the year Swift was born.

Rancid ...Honor Is All We Know (Oct. 27)

The San Francisco band returns after five years for its eighth studio album, ... Honor Is All We Know. This marks the second album that makes up the current band of Tim Armstrong, Lars Frederiksen, Matt Freeman and Branden Steinecker, the original member Brett Reed to have left the band in 2006. Keeping true to their punk rock roots, the album was produced by Brett Gurewitz and published by Epitaph. The album is also the band's shortest album at only 33 minutes, despite having 14 tracks.

The Flaming Lips With a Little Help from My Fwends (Oct. 28)

With a Little Help from my Fwends is the 14th studio album by The Flaming Lips. The band decided to make an entire tribute album for The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The album includes covers of every track from the original and some songs to feature other artists such as singers Miley Cyrus and Moby on "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Lovely Rita." Bands Tegan and Sara and Stardeath and White Dwarfs also appear.

The album brings back The Flaming Lips members Wayne Coyne, Michael Ivins, Steven Drozd, Derek Brown, Jake Ingalls, Matt Duckworth and Nick Ley for the first time since last year's Terror. The album was produced by Scott Booker and was released by Warner Bros.
