Rapper Tyga took to Twitter to display his frustrations with his label, Young Money.
The 24-year-old said that his album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, has been finished, but his label is holding him hostage, therefore he is unable to release anything. In one tweet, Tyga said he may leak the album for his fans.
One fan asked Tyga if he was still with Young Money and Tyga replied, “not for long.”
The last word on Tyga’s album is that it was to be released Nov. 18, according to BET.
Tyga also retweeted a tweet from Russell Simmons that read, “Your hard work is going to put you on, not another person.”
Young Money’s President, Mack Maine replied to Tyga’s tweets by referencing Tyga’s 2008 song, “Coconut Juice,” according to MTV News.
“Don't forget about puttin limes in coconuts!!! What you ""rep"" didn't make you or build you!!,” Mack Maine said. Tyga replied to Mack Maine by writing, “its about growth not maintaining.”
Shortly after, Mack Maine sent out a tweet promoting the upcoming albums of Young Money members Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake. Noticeably missing from the tweet was Tyga’s album.
Whatever the case may be, Tyga says the music industry is a devil’s playground and he is a man of God. He also added that he built Last Kings and that is the only thing that he reps.
