The Voice returns tonight and featured all of the top ten performing for America’s vote. Each coach has been working with their team all week in order to get ready for these live performances. This round of performances also features some celebrity mentors that are helping each coach with his or her team. One of the mentors, Christina Aguilera, was a Voice coach herself and has come back to mentor Team Gwen. Also mentoring tonight is Diana Ross working with Team Pharrell, Colbie Caillat working with Team Blake and Patrick Stump who helped out Team Adam.
Also featured on tonight’s episode was Clive Davis, who was able to meet and talk with the top ten performers.

Kicking off the night was a performance from the entire top ten performed a Rascal Flatts melody. The women opened the melody by singing, “Bless The Broken Road” and were followed by the men who sang, “Stand.”
The first vocalist to take the stage was Matt McAndrew from Team Adam and he performed “Fix You” by Coldplay. McAndrew was given direction from both Stump and Levine about how to work the stage and the crowd during this performance. Shelton started off the comments by saying that McAndrew is so good there isn’t much left to say because he has the drama, the range and the stage presence. Williams added that since the first time he came on stage it was clear that he is a star. Stefani said that the song choice was incredible and it showcased what time of artist he could be after the show. Coach Adam added that McAndrew really can do everything but it is humble and it comes across how talented he is in his vocal range and he was very proud of this performance.

Up next was Team Gwen’s Anita Antoinette. Christina Aguilera joined Team Gwen in helping to prepare them for the top ten. Aguilera remembered Antoinette from when she auditioned back in season three. Antoinette sang, “Let Her Go” by Passenger. The coaches’ comments started with Shelton who said that it was clear that Antoinette was having fun. Williams added that every week she is growing more and more as an artist and the way to shine is to just have fun. Stefani added that it was incredible performance and the energy was cool.

Following Antoinette was Damien from Team Adam. Levine gave Damien “You and I” by Stevie Wonder to perform. All four coaches were on their feet during the end of the performance. Williams started out the comments by saying that his parents must be so proud and happy. Coach Adam said that he is so happy for Damien and that he felt the entire audience getting on board during this performance.

Next up was Reagan James from Team Blake who was joined by Colbie Caillat. James sang, “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea but added her own unique spin on it. Levine said that the performance really took commitment from James and she delivered with her best performance so far. Shelton added that he was glad Levine said that because that was very hard to do and that was her best performance so far.
Taking The Voice stage next was Luke Wade from Team Pharrell. Wade sang “Try A Little Tenderness.” Stefani added that the performance was cool and the way that he broke the song down at the end was a stand out. Levine said that it was a great marriage of styles between Williams and Wade in this song. Williams added that this is what was planned and this really exceeded his expectations.
Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake followed Wade. All four of the coaches stood up following that performance. Williams started off the comments by saying that he knows who is as an artist and that comes across in every performance; Stefani echoed that by saying that it is clear that she can see that Wayne Boyd is a star. Levine said that it was obvious to him that he is an amazing singer. Shelton said that he didn’t even need to talk about what just happened because it was magic but he just wanted to say that from one country singer to another that he really did have his moment and he deserved it.
Next up was Ryan Sill from Team Gwen who performed “Starlight” by Muse. Levine started off the comments by saying that it's a testament to Sill that he is still working hard on figuring out who he is in this competition and he will be successful beyond the show. Shelton added that is hard to be in the bottom three but he really continues to figure this completion out and that was his best performance to date. Williams added that he agreed with both Levine and Shelton and he has liked just watching his journey. Stefani added that she really had to fight for the rights to that song and had to get Muse to let Sill perform it and they signed off. She was proud of the performance and how far he has come on his musical journey on the show.
DaNica Shirey from Team Pharrell took to the stage next to perform Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.” Stefani started off the comments by asking Shirey to perform again. Levine said that it is hard to take on a legend and that this song shouldn’t be given to anyone unless they can perform it like Shirey just did. Shelton added that this is the best live show he has ever seen on The Voice. Williams said that the pressure was on because of Ross and Mr. Davis being in the audience but his mind was blown and that all Shirey had to do was believe and that she keeps to ascend in this competition.
Following Shirey was Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen. Williams put his own spin on “Come Together” by the Beatles. Levine started off the coaches’ comments by saying that he really wants Williams to keep doing what he is doing on the show and he loved the song choice. Shelton said that he had some power behind the performance and he saw Williams smile and fun with that performance. Williams added that was one of the craziest performances he had ever seen on the show and that he was a rock star. Stefani said that she was so worried about picking that song but she trusted him and said he delivered on every level.
Closing the night was Chris Jamison from Team Adam. Jamison performed a brand new song on the charts “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. Shelton started out the comments by saying that Jamison did a really good job of performing in such a large, big band atmosphere. Williams added that Jamison continues to show that he really wants to win this competition and he showed a new level to his talent tonight. Stefani said that it was very natural for Jamison to work the stage that way. Coach Adam added that it is a really amazing song and it’s hard to time musically but the great thing was that Jamison really did something different and it was spectacular and was nothing like anything he had seen on the show so far.
The live results will be announced tomorrow on NBC. Taylor Swift will also be performing during the results show tomorrow.
