The suspect accused of abducting a 22-year-old woman on Nov. 2nd, arrived in Philadelphia on Tuesday to face charges.

WPVI noted that Barnes arrived from Virginia around noon and is set appear before a judge later this week.

The 37-year-old suspect is accused of kidnapping Carlesha Freeland-Gaither after she got off a bus in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Authorities located the suspect and his alleged victim last Wednesday in Maryland. Barnes was immediately taken into custody and Freeland-Gaither was rescued and later reunited with her family.

After he was arrested, authorities in Virginia announced that Barnes would face charges in connection with the rape and attempted murder of a teenage girl in Richmond. The 16-year-old alleged that the suspect assaulted her and poured bleach and gasoline on her before she was able to get away.

As previously reported, the alleged teenage victim also told investigators that Barnes had other victims that he showed her photos of.

Police have been working with other jurisdictions to comb through any unsolved missing persons cases that he could be linked to.
