After audio was released of her saying that she wanted to kill her parents, Amanda Bynes has taken to her Twitter to clarify her comments, saying she was just joking.

It was previously reported that TMZ released an audio recording of Bynes saying she wanted to murder her dad and slit her mother's throat. The recording was clearly disturbing.

TMZ reported that her family wanted the website to post the audio recording. They thought it could be used as a wake up call to medical professionals, who could intervene in Bynes' life and get her help.

However, TMZ is now reporting that what Bynes said should not have been taken seriously.

The troubled former actress tweeted out, "By the way - i was obviously joking about hurting my family - i straight up don't believe in harming a soul." She went on to say that people should take what she says lightly. She also confirmed that she is in therapy to deal with the issues she has with her father.

Bynes also found time to complain about the photos that TMZ uses of her on their website. "I don't look like that anymore, I've had acne laser treatments and I've lost 18 lbs so i dont appreciate them using old photos of me," she tweeted.

The release of the recording is just the latest in Bynes' concerning behavior. She was put on involuntary psychiatric hold in October, fell asleep on a couch at a mall in L.A., and has been using her Twitter to complain about her parents.
