It’s another glorious morning as talks of Hocus Pocus 2 have been circulating the Internet, and Bette Midler has enlisted your help.
In a Reddit AMA with Midler over the weekend, she urged fans to help brew the potion for Hocus Pocus 2 and suck the lives out of more little children.
Although Midler is responsible for a life-long career and a multitude achievements, Hocus Pocus will forever be denoted with her name. Halloween just ended, so naturally fans on Reddit bombarded her with questions about the 1993 original film.
In response to fervent fans, Bette Midler made it known she was on board for a sequel to one of the most favored Halloween movies of all time. She even continued to say she kept Winifred’s teeth as a souvenir from the set. One can only hope she pops them in from time to time and performs “I’ve Put A Spell On You,” even if it’s only in front of her mirror.
As luck would have it, the other two “Sanderson sisters” Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are also all for a Hocus Pocus 2.
"You have to go to send in your cards to the Walt Disney company," she said. "The ball's in their court," reports The Huffington Post
Word on the street was that Tiny Fey picked up the ball of witchcraft but it turned out to be just a mere rumor, leaving fans feeling like Jay and Ice at the end of Hocus Pocus — locked in cages and singing rounds of ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat’ to help pass the time.
The AMA concluded with advice from Midler, "Inundate the Disney company, because I have canvassed the girls and they are wiling to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a Hocus Pocus 2, ask the Walt Disney company. You have been SO adorable. This has been most enlightening. Sistahs," according to E! News.
In the mean time, let’s all do our part by collecting a dead man’s toe and getting this sequel on track. Perhaps sending an email or writing a letter to Disney may be more practical.
