Jim Carrey is looking to revive his career by going back to 1994, the magical year he became a superstar. However, Disney’s Big Hero 6 is likely to crash his party.

Big Hero 6, the latest animated film from Disney, swooped into movie theaters with a $56.2 million. Families couldn’t get enough of Baymax and that’s expected to be the case once again. Considering the holidays are right around the corner, it’s going to be really hard to stop this movie.

Entertainment Weekly is predicting a $33 million second weekend, which will easily be enough to keep out Dumb and Dumber To.

Dumb and Dumber To pairs Carrey with Jeff Daniels in a sequel to the smash hit original, which is now 20 years later. The film is getting hit hard by critics - particularly our own - but that might not be enough to keep audiences away. They just want to spend some time with their favorite Dumb and Dumber characters. The Universal film will probably make around $29 million, predicts Box Office Mojo.

Easily the most interesting story of the weekend will be seeing how Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar does in its second weekend. While everyone was excited about the movie before it came out, many were disappointed by the results. It even failed to reach $50 million in its first weekend. If it gets past $25 million in weekend two, that will be a success.

Beyond the Lights, a $7 million romance that features Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is expected to make around $10 million.

Other limited releases this weekend include Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, Miles Teller’s Whiplash, Foxcatcher and Tommy Lee Jones’ The Homesman. Birdman also sees a wider release this weekend.
