Bill Cosby is clearly remaining quiet about the recent resurfacing of rape allegations, refusing to comment on the controversy during an NPR interview.

Last month, comedian Hannibal Buress went on a rant about Cosby during one of his stand up routines. Buress ended up saying, "Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple notches. I don't curse on stage. But yeah, you're a rapist." His comments brought the many rape allegations against the 77-year-old former Cosby Show star back into the spotlight.

Cosby was recently asked about the allegations in a recent NPR interview, but he refused to comment about them, according to TMZ. During the interview, that was recorded last week, Cosby and interviewer, Scott Simon, were having a great conversation, discussing Cosby's recent loan of 62 pieces of African art to the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art. Cosby's wife, Camille, was also being interviewed.

Soon, Simon moved on to ask about the allegations, saying, "This question gives me no pleasure, Mr. Cosby, but there have been serious allegations raised about you in recent days," according to NPR. Cosby and his wife immediately went silent. Simon said the only response he got was Cosby shaking his head.

Simon later responded to some questions about the interview on his Twitter saying that he did hate having to ask the question with Mrs. Cosby there.

Recently, Barbara Bowman, one of the women who alleges that she was raped by Cosby years ago, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post. In it, she wondered why no one believed her until Hannibal Buress talked about the allegations in his stand up routine last month.
