Despite a series of hospitalizations and a kidney surgery, rocker Bret Michaels is already back on stage, performing for crowds of fans.

The 51-year-old bandana-sporting rocker was hospitalized six times in just two short weeks, and had to undergo a surgery on his kidneys.

Michaels' guitarist, Pete Evick, updated his Facebook page on November 10 to update fans on Michaels' condition. He explained that, against both doctor's orders and friend's advice, Michaels still took the stage in Knoxville, Tennessee, but was rushed to the hospital immediately following his performance. Doctors refused to release him, insisting on treating him.

Now Michaels is back on stage following his recent health scare. Billboard is reporting that Michaels was performing on Thursday night, doing what was said to be a test run for a charity concert he's set to performing on Friday night in Fort Myers, Florida.

The rocker made sure to let the audience know that he was doing fine. He addressed his recent medical scares, telling the audience, "We honestly didn't know how long we would make it. Let me tell you, I'm feeling very little pain."

His tour manager, George LeBlanc, has ensured that Michaels won't be overdoing it anymore. "We're basically doing weekend shows for the rest of the year," LeBlanc has said. "We have 10 or 11 shows scheduled."
