Christian Bale, who stars in the upcoming Exodus: Gods and Kings has officially dropped out of the Steve Jobs bio-pic to play the Apple co-founder.

However, in hopes of a quick casting fix Variety has reported that, Band Of Brothers actor Michael Fassbender has recently been related to the role.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter of the disappointing news, explaining that Bale’s deliberation resulted in feelings that he wasn’t right for the role. Unfortunately, Bale is the second actor to withdraw from the movie, following Leonardo DiCaprio, who left to film The Revenant. Hopefully, Fassbender follows through with the rumors, for filming is anticipated to begin in the winter for a speedy release and Deadline reports that this is still the plan.

The Sony project, produced by Scott Rudin, Guymon Casady and Mark Gordon will hopefully feature Seth Rogen, who is still in the process of negotiations to sign on to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, According to The Daily Mail.
The Social Network's Aaron Sorkin is writing the script.
