CNN anchor Don Lemon has come under fire for his controversial comments to one of Bill Cosby’s sexual assault accusers, Joan Tarshis.
Tarshis revealed her account of the incident earlier this week, saying she tried to talk Cosby out of raping her but it backfired.
“I thought I was being clever when I told him I had an infection and he would catch it and his wife would know he had sex with someone. But he just found another orifice to use,” she said, recalling her forced her to perform oral sex.
She told the story to Lemon again on CNN earlier this week, saying, “Instead he made me have oral sex with him, which was really just horrible."
However, Lemon shocked viewers when he asked her if she could’ve prevented it by using her teeth “as a weapon.”
“You know, there are ways not to perform oral sex if you didn't want to do it,” he told her, Yahoo reports.
She replied, “I was kind of stoned at the time, and quite honestly, that didn't even enter my mind. Now I wish it would have.” When he told her he “had to ask,” she said “it didn't cross my mind.”
