A judge has denied bail for a couple accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old Georgia boy four years ago.

WXIA noted that bond was denied for Gregory Jean and Samantha Joy Davis after they made their court appearance on Sunday. The pair has been charged with child cruelty and false imprisonment after officers found the child hidden inside their Clayton County home.

Jean is the boy’s father. The child’s mother said that after the teen visited with him in 2010, Jean would not return him. The mother reported him missing then to child welfare services.

As previously reported, authorities went to the home on Friday evening, but did not locate they boy until they went back a second time. He was eventually found behind a fake wall in a closet and has since been reunited with his mother.

Jean and Davis were taken into custody. An obstruction charge was denied by the county judge and appearance for a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 9.
