Dean McDermott revealed today that he is leaving True Tori, or at least he thinks he is. Lifetime, the network that airs the reality series featuring his wife, Tori Spelling, says that he will appear in the last few episodes of the show’s second season.

The series, which debuted in April, has followed the roller-coaster lives of Spelling and McDermott following his infidelity and rehab stint. While speaking with Access Hollywood, McDermott said that some good has come out of making all that drama public, but he can’t take it any longer. He doesn’t even watch the show.

“I'm not going to continue with the show,” McDermott told the show. “We have five more shows left… I can't do this anymore. I can't keep opening a vein, opening my soul and sharing my feelings and thoughts and demons with the world."

McDermott is still open about his struggles and infidelity, even if he doesn’t want cameras to follow him any longer. He told Access that he really wishes he never cheated on his wife. “I wish my alcohol and drug use hadn't gotten out of control,” he continued. “I still love her to death and that's why we're still together.”

The actor, who recently did an episode of CSI, added that he never wants to be in a place where he contemplates suicide.

“I almost lost everything, everything that means anything to me. I don't want to ever do that again,” McDermott said. “I don't ever want to be in that dark place again where I wanted to take my life.”

Despite his comments, a Lifetime rep told TheWrap that McDermott will appear on True Tori’s last five episodes of season two. “He is fulfilling his commitment to Season 2,” the spokesperson said.

Spelling was recently hospitalized, which McDermott attributed to his wife’s busy lifestyle. “She always puts others before herself. [It was] pneumonia, bronchitis and sinusitis and that triggered migrainosus,” he said.
