President George W. Bush is back in the spotlight thanks to his new book about his father, President George H.W. Bush, but the questions he’s facing aren’t about his years in the White House. Instead, it’s about the future of the oval office and whether or not his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, will run in 2016.

Bush spoke with CBS News’ Bob Schieffer for a Face the Nation interview, in which he was asked if Jeb is still considering a run at the White House.

“It's a lot of speculation about him. I occasionally fuel the speculation by saying that I hope he runs,” Bush replied. “I think it's 50-50.”

Bush further explained that Jeb is still worried about what another presidential run would do for the family. After all, both his father and older brother already had terms in the White House. In addition, Bush left behind a very unpopular legacy when he left office in 2009. Still, Bush would support Jeb’s decision to run if he chooses to do so.

“...I'm all in for him. He'd be a great president,” Bush told Schieffer. “And the country could use an optimistic view like his.”

Bush is promoting his new book, 41: A Portrait of My Father, which is the first time a former president has written about one of his predecessors. It is published by Crown Publishers.
