When country music fans open Spotify they will not be able to find Jason Aldean's latest album. Aldean's sixth album Old Boots, New Dirt, cannot be found on the streaming service but all of his other albums are still available.

Cadillac News reported that a representative from Spotify confirmed that the album had been removed. The record label, Broken Bow Records, did not have a comment as to why this latest effort from Aldean couldn't be found on Spotify.

Aldean is following in the footsteps of fellow music superstar, Taylor Swift, who recently pulled all of her music off Spotify, The Hollywood Reporter added. Big Machine Label Group CEO Scott Borchetta, explained to fans why the decision was made to pull her music off of the streaming service. "We determined that her fan base is so in on her, let's pull everything off of Spotify and any other service that doesn't offer a premium service," said Borchetta.

In reply to Swift deciding to leave the company, Spotify wrote: "We believe fans should be able to listen to music wherever and whenever they want and that artists have an absolute right to be paid for their work and protected from piracy."
