Kevin James returns as the eccentric mall security cop, Paul Blart in the new trailer for Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2, which was released on YouTube on Friday.
The trailer shows that in this sequel, Paul Blart attends a Security Guard Expo with his daughter at a Las Vegas casino, where a devious plot is formed by criminal Vincent, played by Desperate Housewives’s Neal McDonough. Vincent is set to steal money from the numerous casinos on the strip. It is then up to Blart and his new found group of security guards to take down this opposing force, using any means necessary- even if it gets an old lady punched in the process.
Also returning for the film is Raini Rodriguez, who plays Blart’s daughter, Maya in the original 2009 film, as well as Adhir Kalyan as Pahud and Shirley Knight as Blart’s mother. Also returning is the previous film’s co-writer Nick Bakay, who also created The King of Queens, the sitcom that James starred in for five years.
Joining the cast with McDonough is Saturday Night Live’s Ana Gasteyer, Chelsea Lately’s Loni Love, and Cougar Town’s Bob Clendenin.
