Sadie Robertson, Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson’s teenage daughter, is competing on this season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and her mother, Korie Robertson, admits she’s still shocked her husband allowed it.
Sadie and her professional partner, Mark Ballas, are in the top five on the show and reflecting back to the beginning, Korie said her “jaw dropped” when she heard Willie’s response.
"When Sadie first asked me if she could do Dancing With the Stars, I was a little bit unsure, because, you know, it's a little scary putting your daughter out there," she said of their 17-year-old daughter.
"I actually thought Willie would say no, so I told Sadie to ask her daddy.” Much to her surprise, Willie told her “if that's something you want to do, go for it,” she told Us Weekly.
As for Willie’s reaction to her first performance, he said he got “overwhelmed” with emotions at how well she did. "There was a tear or two,” he admitted.
