Dave & Busters has apologized for a tweet they sent out coinciding with their weekly Taco Tuesday event.

The now deleted tweet was deemed offensive by many of their Twitter followers, who made sure to make their feelings on its racist nature known. However, some followers thought those people need to lighten up.

"'I hate tacos' said no Juan ever #TacoTuesday #DaveandBusters,” the account posted and quickly deleted. They then sent out an apology tweet.

“We sincerely apologize for the tweet that went out today our intention was never to offend anyone please accept our apology,” it read, E! Online reports.
Some pointed out how long it took for them to send out an apology tweet, with some responses including “It Took Dave & Buster’s 40 Minutes to Delete and ‘Sincerely Apologize’ for ‘Offensive’ Tweet About Tacos.”

Before they were able to apologize, another Twitter user wrote, “deleting your racist tweet and not apologizing/acknowledging you made a mistake won't make it go away @DaveandBusters.”

Some stood behind Dave & Busters, with one user writing, "It was funny...you shouldn't apologize. Have you heard the Taco Bell radio ads? They're more offensive than your tweet!" Another wrote, "my name is Juan,I'm mexican and didn't have any racism issue with the joke,am I wrong if I think is funny?"
