Firefighters rescued a Colorado man who was trapped in the wall of a department store for days.
The Longport Times-Call reported that a man, stuck in the wall of a Marshalls store for three days, was rescued on Tuesday.
Employees of the department store said that they heard someone yelling on Monday, but did not know where it was coming from. They heard the cries again on Tuesday and notified police.
"You can't make this stuff up," said Longmont police Sgt. Matt Cage.
Using a sledgehammer and circular, rescue workers were able to free 35-year-old Paul Felyk. He was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation as to how and why Felyk became trapped in the wall in the first place is still underway, but authorities suspect that he entered the store through the roof.
The Times-Call noted that the case is being looked at as attempted robbery or trespassing.
Officials said Felyk may be a transient. Charges against him are pending.
