A new Dragon Ball Z film is coming out in Japan, bringing back one of the series’ most famous villains.
Japanese publication V Jump will show a picture on Friday from the new film featuring the return of Frieza, according to Anime News Network. The publication revealed the Japanese title of the new film, which had been translated by ANN as Dragon Ball Z: F is for Resurrection.
V Jump explained what the film’s story would be, according to Geek Outpost. Taking place during a peaceful time in the series, two surviving members of Frieza’s destroyed army come to Earth and revive their master with the dragon balls.
ANN also reported that Beerus, the main antagonist in the recent Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, was also shown in the picture. The creator of the Dragon Ball series Akira Toriyama was credited for creating the concept for the film, writing the screenplay, and designing the film’s characters.
Geek Outpost said that the film will be released in theaters in Japan in April 2015, as well as in 2D and 3D formats. Nothing has been said about a U.S release yet.
