Although she's always coming out with provocative songs and music videos, Nicki Minaj admits that she's had to face shyness head on over the years.
According to E! News, at the recent American Music Awards, Minaj spoke with E!'s Giuliana Rancic, saying that shyness has been something that she's had to deal with.
"People don't know that," Minaj said. "I feel shy a lot of times actually. I just push myself to go for it."
Earlier this month, the "Anaconda" rapper admitted that she was nervous about hosting the MTV EMAs saying, "I was having a lot of anxiety yesterday actually because I know there is a lot of pressure and it’s a big job and I always want to give my best and be amazing."
When asked what scares her the most though, Minaj told Rancic also admitted that she's scared of being away from her family. Because of that, she said she would be moving back to the East Coast soon.
Before she moves to be closer to her family, though, Minaj is excited about releasing a new album called The Pinkprint, whose release date has been pushed to December 15. About the album, Minaj told Rancic that she's really proud of how it came out.
"It really shows a lot of growth. I know that my fans are really going to appreciate the subject matter on a lot of the songs," she said.
And for fans of the rapper that think The Pinkprint will be her last album before she takes a break, the rapper confirms it isn't true. She's waiting to take a break after her fifth album- The Pinkprint is only her third studio release.
